Presented in partnership with the World Theatre Foundation and the Roxy Theatre Foundation, this concert is part of the launch of Quincy Square—a new cultural district honoring his legacy and inspiring the next generation of artists.

Alvin Chea, the resonant bass of the Grammy-winning a cappella group Take 6, has been a cornerstone of vocal excellence for over three decades. As a founding member of Take 6, Chea has contributed to the group’s ten Grammy Awards and numerous other accolades, including Dove Awards and a Soul Train Award. Beyond his work with Take 6.
Chea’s versatile voice has graced countless film and television soundtracks, and he’s known for his iconic voice-over work, such as the memorable “I want my baby-back ribs” jingle for Chili’s. Chea inspires and thrills audiences worldwide with his deep tones and musical artistry.
Adryon De León is a thrilling vocalist whose gritty, soulful sound blends church roots, musical theater, and modern soul. born and raised in the tiny artist’s village of Ojai, CA, Adryon has backed up such icons as Macy Gray, Patti Austin, and George Clinton, and has been featured at the Hollywood Bowl, the Emmys Governor’s Galas, and global Pride events with Idina Menzel.
Jay Mabin is a chromatic jazz harmonica virtuoso whose soulful, genre-defying style has made him a mainstay of the Pacific Northwest jazz and blues scene for over five decades. Mentored by Sonny Terry and trained under Toots Thielemans and Howard Levy, he has performed with legends including Bo Diddley and Bud Shank, leading his own group and captivating audiences from major venues to intimate live music venues.
Brian Nova is widely regarded as one of the nation’s top jazz guitarists and vocalists, praised by Joe Pass, Herb Ellis, and Steve Miller. A Grammy-winning collaborator on Arturo Sandoval’s Dear Diz, Nova tours internationally as a soloist and leads ensembles from trio to 18-piece big band, while mentoring the next generation through master classes worldwide.
Bobby Medina is an internationally respected trumpeter, bandleader, and show producer originally from Los Angeles. His career includes touring and performing with legendary artists including Ray Charles, Mel Tormé, The Four Tops, Frankie Valli, Wynonna Judd, The Temptations, Frankie Avalon and The Funk Brothers. Known for his magnetic stage presence and storytelling, Medina creates productions that blend world-class musicianship with cultural context. For the Love of Quincy! was praised by Quincy Jones’ brother Richard Jones. After seeing it Richard wrote “I saw the Quincy tributes on the Grammy and the Academy Awards. For the Love of Quincy spanked them all!”
